Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join its Engineering department in Rehovot, Israel. The role focuses on leading quality initiatives with cutting‑edge suppliers and ensuring smooth manufacturing processes for next‑generation semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations of supplier non‑conformances from initiation through effective resolution and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze quality trends, provide intelligence to management, and implement remedial actions.
• Represent Engineering in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, performing risk evaluations and disposition recommendations.
• Monitor and report non‑conformances related to production lines, coordinating with R&D and suppliers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality, first‑pass yield, SPC and 8D processes.

Required profile

• BSc in Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality or related engineering roles.
• Experience with ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS9100 standards (advantageous).
• Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English.
