Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead the quality domain for its cutting‑edge suppliers within the Engineering department in Rehovot. You will work with a professional engineering team to ensure manufacturability of highly complex modules and support smooth production of advanced semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead investigations of supplier non‑conformances from initiation through effective resolution and drive corrective actions.
• Analyze quality trends, provide intelligence to management and implement remedial actions.
• Represent Engineering in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, perform risk evaluations and recommend dispositions.
• Monitor and report non‑conformances related to production lines, coordinating with R&D and suppliers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality, first‑pass yield, SPC and 8‑D processes.
• Identify and manage potential quality risks, including supply‑chain disruptions.

Required profile

• BSc in Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality or related engineering roles.
• Strong communication skills in Hebrew and English.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Certified Quality Engineer (preferred).
• Lead auditor certification (preferred).
• Experience with ISO 13485, IATF 16949 and AS9100 standards.
• Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Root‑cause analysis, SPC and 8‑D problem‑solving methodologies.
