Software Engineer – System Enablement & Tooling

About the role

Xsight Labs is developing high‑performance networking solutions for scale‑out infrastructure. As a Software Engineer on the System Enablement & Tooling team, you will bridge software and hardware engineering, delivering tools that support both internal teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full development lifecycle of internal and customer‑facing tools, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
• Own and evolve existing infrastructure, troubleshooting, optimizing, and expanding toolsets as needed.
• Implement parallel programming techniques using multithreading and multiprocessing to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with software and hardware engineers to understand workflows and deliver tailored solutions.
• Rapidly learn new engineering concepts and apply diverse programming paradigms, technologies, and industry standards.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, design principles, and operating‑system architecture.
• Solid grasp of parallel programming concepts, including multithreading and multiprocessing.
• High level of technical independence and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Python development.
• Linux‑based development environment.
• Backend development experience (databases, REST APIs, containerization such as Docker).
• Parallel programming (multithreading, multiprocessing).
• Familiarity with computer networking fundamentals.
• Optional: C/C++ programming.
• Optional: Full‑stack development knowledge.
