Software Engineer – Enterprise Browser

About the role

Cato Networks is building a secure, high‑performance Enterprise Browser tightly integrated with its cloud platform. The team seeks a software engineer with deep systems expertise to drive performance, security, and usability for enterprise users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain core browser components using modern C++, Rust, and TypeScript, focusing on performance, security, and stability.
• Collaborate with product, UX, backend, and security teams to define specifications and deliver new features.
• Optimize performance and memory usage across complex browser subsystems.
• Participate in all development phases—from design and prototyping to testing, release, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure code quality through unit/integration testing, code reviews, and automated CI pipelines.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose updates to the technology stack.

Required profile

• B.Sc or B.A in Computer Science from a recognized university.
• 5+ years of professional C++ development on large, complex codebases.
• Strong experience with multi‑threaded programming and concurrency models.
• Excellent debugging and performance‑tuning abilities.
• Familiarity with browser internals or rendering engines such as Chromium (advantage).
• Experience with cross‑platform development (Windows, macOS, Linux) (advantage).
• Full‑stack development experience with TypeScript/React/Java (advantage).
