Software Engineer (Endpoint DLP)

About the role

Cato Networks is looking for a senior software engineer to join its Endpoint Data Protection team. You will design, develop, and maintain core low‑level components of our Windows and macOS endpoint clients that protect millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop low‑level client components for Windows and macOS, including drivers, system extensions, and kernel‑adjacent code.
• Research and prototype new technologies, especially AI‑driven approaches to accelerate engineering and product capabilities.
• Own feature development from concept through release, collaborating with QA, support, product management, and other engineering teams.
• Support the full application lifecycle, including release management and production support.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong low‑level systems expertise on desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
• Proven ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C, C++ or Rust.
• Experience with multithreaded development, synchronization, and data structures.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols and environments.
• Familiarity with C#, Swift, Python; occasional work with Java or Go is a plus.
• Experience building security software on the endpoint (EPP/EDR) is a major advantage.
