Software Engineer – Core Infrastructure & Backend

About the role

We are looking for a Core Infrastructure & Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services, APIs, and developer libraries that power our enterprise storage solutions. You will work in a hybrid model from our R&D center in the Sharon region, Israel, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliability and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement resilient, high‑throughput backend services primarily in Python.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and internal web applications using modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Build and support foundational libraries and tooling used across multiple engineering teams.
• Maintain Linux‑based environments, write shell scripts, and manage containerized workloads with Docker.
• Drive continuous improvement of developer infrastructure, automation, and system performance.
• Explore emerging technologies, including Rust and Go, to solve complex distributed infrastructure challenges.
• Collaborate with system architects, storage domain experts, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience with Python.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Deep mastery of the Python Standard Library and advanced Python features (generators, decorators, iterators, context managers).
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django for building web applications and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Linux environments and shell scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker containerization.
• Familiarity with Rust or Go (advantage).
