Senior/Principal Angular Frontend Engineer – Cortex Platform

About the role

Join Palo Alto Networks’ Platform Frontend Engineering team to build the core foundations of the Cortex platform. You will create high‑performance, scalable user interfaces that enable other teams to deliver world‑class cybersecurity applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance Angular applications using the latest framework features (Signals, Standalone APIs, etc.).
• Drive architectural decisions and evolve core frontend features across the Cortex platform.
• Champion AI‑first development practices, integrating AI‑assisted tools for testing, code review and generation.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of critical frontend components, ensuring performance, scalability and usability.
• Collaborate with product, UX, backend and other frontend teams to translate complex security requirements into intuitive user experiences.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on frontend development experience, preferably in large‑scale, data‑heavy or AI‑driven applications.
• Proven ability to work in an agile, fast‑paced environment and deliver high‑quality code.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and enterprise products is a plus.

Required skills

• Angular v16‑v18+, including Signals, defers and Standalone APIs.
• TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• HTML5, SASS, Tailwind CSS, and web animation/transition techniques.
• Performance optimization, asynchronous data handling and complex state management.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code or Codex.
• Knowledge of interactive charting frameworks or canvas‑based graph libraries (advantage).
