Senior SoC Architect – MCU

About the role

NXP Israel is seeking a Senior SoC Architect to lead the definition and development of next‑generation System‑on‑Chip (SoC) solutions for its MCU business. Based at the Yokneam site, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure the architecture meets market, security, and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define the architecture of upcoming SoCs, creating detailed specifications.
• Collaborate with Marketing, System Architecture, RTL, and DV teams to align requirements.
• Own the SoC Architecture specification and ensure all development teams follow it.
• Coordinate with software, security, analog, and digital architects to integrate their needs.
• Work with the documentation team to provide accurate architectural information.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in complex SoC architecture.
• Strong background in RTL and DV processes.
• Experience with video, audio, and bus protocols such as AHB and AXI.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc. a plus).
• Knowledge of ultra‑low‑power design techniques and Python programming (advantage).
• Familiarity with ARM Cortex‑M platforms and security mechanisms.
