Senior Security Analyst (MDR)

About the role

Artemis is building an AI‑driven defense platform and seeks a Senior Security Analyst to join its managed detection and response (MDR) service, Apollo. As a founding analyst you will lead investigations, guide customers, and shape the service as it scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own investigations from initial signal to resolution, determining impact, severity and documenting reasoning.
• Reconstruct attacker activity across identity, cloud, endpoint and SaaS environments using AI‑assisted and manual log analysis.
• Recommend and execute containment actions, providing customers with impact‑previewed, reversible steps.
• Conduct hypothesis‑driven threat hunts and turn findings into new cases and detections.
• Help design investigative standards, response workflows, reporting and the analyst console.
• Feed verdicts and patterns back into detection engineering to improve the platform.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on security operations experience in a SOC, MSSP or MDR environment at a senior or Tier 3 level.
• Deep investigation experience across identity (Okta, Entra ID), cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), endpoint (EDR) and SaaS (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
• Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK tactics, techniques and procedures.
• Evidence‑driven mindset with excellent written communication for customer briefings.
• Comfortable working defined shifts as the team expands to 24×7 coverage.
