Senior Mobile Engineer – Android & iOS SDK

About the role

Digital Turbine is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance Android and iOS SDKs and on‑device services. You will work on a small autonomous team, owning the full product lifecycle from design through release, monitoring, and on‑call support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android SDKs (Kotlin/Java) and expanding iOS SDKs (Swift/Objective‑C) with focus on reliability, footprint, battery usage, and security.
• Reduce installation and delivery failures by improving package‑manager reliability and dynamic app‑delivery mechanisms.
• Collaborate with OEM and carrier integration teams to ship features within strict platform, privacy, and resource constraints.
• Extend on‑device surfaces for alternative distribution and brand‑on‑device experiences.
• Own instrumentation, alerting, rollout strategy, A/B experimentation, and on‑call duties for your services.
• Raise code quality through reviews, automated testing, and tooling, and mentor peers on mobile best practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of production mobile software development.
• Deep expertise in Android development and native internals.
• Experience with iOS development and a working command of native frameworks.
• Ability to work autonomously on end‑to‑end product ownership.
