Senior Financial Controller

About the role

Vega, a fast‑growing cybersecurity SaaS startup, is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to own the end‑to‑end accounting function. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will be the backbone of financial operations as the company scales globally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual close process and deliver accurate financial statements.
• Lead the annual audit and coordinate with external auditors.
• Oversee tax compliance across jurisdictions, including corporate tax, VAT, sales tax and withholding.
• Supervise payroll, billing, collections, cash application and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Design, document and continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls and ERP systems.
• Drive ERP and finance system enhancements, ensuring scalability.
• Partner with the VP Finance on cash management, reporting to management and investors, and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (Israeli CPA) with 7+ years of accounting experience.
• Prior experience as a Controller in a high‑growth B2B SaaS company.
• Hands‑on experience with Priority ERP and involvement in a NetSuite implementation.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition in a SaaS environment.
• Proven ability to build and scale accounting processes, controls and systems.
• Strong ownership mindset, high attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Fluent written and spoken English and experience with US entities and multi‑entity consolidation.
