Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers development, deployment, and production environments for its semiconductor inspection solutions. You will own and optimize platforms such as artifact management, source control, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust DevOps infrastructure for large‑scale production environments.
• Drive operational excellence across CI/CD pipelines, artifact repositories, and source‑control systems.
• Configure, install, and manage Kubernetes clusters following best practices for scalability and security.
• Architect Kubernetes‑based solutions and enable automated service deployment across environments.
• Mentor software engineers on DevOps principles and support them throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of DevOps or software development experience with a strong DevOps orientation.
• Hands‑on experience with Artifactory, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven track record working in Agile environments and managing high‑availability systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.
