Senior DevOps Engineer – Data Platform (Cortex)

About the role

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong Developer Experience mindset to accelerate and simplify the delivery of its Data Platform (Cortex). You will own the end‑to‑end tooling, automation, and observability that enable developers to ship faster, more reliably, and at lower cost.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize CI/CD pipeline velocity and stability, leveraging AI to detect test failures and automate ticket creation.
• Automate workflows such as merge‑conflict resolution and maintain a smooth merge train.
• Design parallelized build strategies, advanced caching, and local Artifactory mirrors to cut build times.
• Reduce container image sizes and improve CD efficiency.
• Measure impact on metrics like CI feedback time, pipeline reliability, deployment time, and infrastructure cost.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior DevOps roles focused on developer productivity.
• Ability to independently identify pain points and deliver scalable engineering solutions.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to measuring impact.
