Senior Chip Architect

About the role

Join NVIDIA's networking unit as a Senior Chip Architect, working within a small elite team to define the architecture of next‑generation NIC and DPU products. You will collaborate across software, ASIC, verification, physical design, and platform groups to drive performance and solve complex chip‑level challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand and document the NIC architecture, serving as a knowledge hub for design and verification engineers.
• Define next‑generation system architectures in partnership with GPU and CPU teams.
• Balance architectural requirements with backend, execution, and design constraints for sophisticated product features.
• Identify and resolve full‑chip correctness and performance issues requiring cross‑unit expertise.
• Collaborate with board and package teams to address power, di/dt, temperature, and signal‑integrity limits.
• Maintain expertise in SoC flows and protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, InfiniBand, and NvLink.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university with excellent grades.
• 5+ years of experience in ASIC design, micro‑architecture, or performance engineering.
• At least 4 years of hands‑on Verilog or VHDL development.
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities, capable of leading complex, multi‑team initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills.
