Senior Board Design Engineer

About the role

Elbit Systems is seeking a Senior Board Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced printed circuit boards for mission‑critical defense products. You will work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performance hardware from concept through testing.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of board design, from requirements definition and architecture to detailed design and validation.
• Design and develop printed circuit boards that serve as core components in advanced defense systems.
• Collaborate closely with software, FPGA, mechanical, and other engineering groups throughout the development process.
• Participate in the creation of complex digital electronic systems in a high‑technology environment.
• Tackle challenging engineering problems and contribute to robust, high‑performance hardware solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in digital electronic design.
• Proven experience in board requirements definition and top‑level architecture definition.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective teamwork with multidisciplinary groups.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Mentor Expedition, or Cadence.
• Knowledge of PCB layout methodologies and signal‑integrity tools like Hyperlynx or Ansys.
• Experience designing Voltage Regulated Modules (VRM) and analog circuits (advantage).
• Familiarity with processor‑based hardware platforms and CPU architectures such as ARM or X86 (advantage).
• Basic programming knowledge in Python or similar languages (advantage).
