Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Cylus, a cybersecurity startup focused on protecting railways from cyber attacks, is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join its R&D team. You will lead the design, development and optimization of microservices that process large volumes of network communication data, and work on the company's Rail Tech Security Platform, CylusOne.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and optimization of microservices for scalable processing of high volumes of network communication data.
• Work with experienced engineers to architect distributed and scalable data processing solutions for the CylusOne platform.
• Collaborate with network researchers to turn cybersecurity threat detection and network analysis features into products.
• Optimize code performance, scalability and resource use across microservices and algorithms.
• Develop in Go.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience building and maintaining scalable, complex software systems.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, high-quality products.
• Proven ownership: thoughtful design, realistic estimates and consistent delivery.
• Experience using and integrating AI into daily tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.
