Senior Backend Developer – Shape the Future of FinOps

About the role

Wiv is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to drive the next generation of FinOps solutions. You will work on a high‑impact product where AI is a core development tool, helping to build scalable, reliable services that power finance operations for modern businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality backend services and APIs.
• Assess how code changes affect the broader system, including data stores, infrastructure, and user experience.
• Leverage AI tools to explore, build, debug, refactor, and continuously improve software.
• Make technical decisions around scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Build and operate microservices and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and frontend teams.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and drive them to resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Python and a solid understanding of backend systems, APIs, databases, and distributed architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS core services and microservices architectures.
• Ability to think systemically and evaluate the impact of changes across the platform.
• Proven engineering judgment and the capacity to work independently.
• Daily use of AI coding tools to enhance productivity.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
