Senior Apparel Designer

About the role

Agilite is seeking a Senior Apparel Designer to lead the creation of performance‑driven collections for elite military and law‑enforcement units. The role bridges creative design and mass production, ensuring every garment meets rigorous standards for fit, durability, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical development of performance wear, producing detailed tech packs, construction specs, and Bills of Materials.
• Analyze fit intent and provide actionable feedback to overseas and domestic factories to achieve optimal fit.
• Partner with Gear Designers to integrate apparel with equipment, eliminating chafing and improving load‑carrying stability.
• Develop systematic fit architecture that supports layered systems without restricting motion.
• Drive innovation through smart construction, advanced textiles, and new feature integration.
• Act as a design engineer, solving complex construction challenges under tight timelines.
• Collaborate with product testing teams to incorporate soldier feedback and improve garment longevity.
• Serve as the technical liaison for Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to align aesthetic goals with margin targets.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of design experience in performance, activewear, or compression markets.
• Deep understanding of body mapping, textile compression, and advanced garment construction.
• Proven ability to lead fit development and work with global manufacturing partners.

Required skills

• Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Experience with CLO 3D or Browzwear.
• Extensive knowledge of synthetic polymers and performance natural fabrics.
• Strong technical understanding of body mapping and textile compression.
• Advanced construction technique expertise.
