Senior AI Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior AI Platform Engineer to join Guesty’s core AI team. You will design, build, and maintain the foundational systems that enable hundreds of engineers to develop production‑grade AI applications at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the core AI platform, agent runtimes, and developer tooling using TypeScript (NestJS), Python, and modern AI frameworks.
• Take initiatives from research and architectural planning through hands‑on implementation, deployment, and production monitoring.
• Build standardized APIs, tools, and infrastructure that empower 100+ engineers to ship AI applications securely and reliably.
• Design event‑driven architectures with high load capacity, zero‑downtime reliability, deep tracing, structured logging, and observability.
• Manage and automate cloud infrastructure, container environments, and CI/CD pipelines supporting AI workflows.
• Promote clean architecture, engineering best practices, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• 5+ years of senior backend or platform engineering experience delivering production‑scale software.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous problems into solid architectural plans and execute them end‑to‑end.
• Strong appreciation for event‑driven systems, clean abstractions, and Domain‑Driven Design.
• Hands‑on expertise with TypeScript (NestJS) and/or Python, plus cloud platforms (AWS), Docker, and Terraform.
• Experience diagnosing production issues, handling scale bottlenecks, and implementing robust logging, tracing, and metrics.
• Passion for AI, collaborative mindset, and focus on delivering business impact.
