Process Safety Expert – HAZOP Leader

About the role

QualityAI is seeking a Process Safety Expert to lead HAZOP studies and support process safety activities for its AI‑first quality engineering services. The role is based in Neot Hovav and involves close collaboration with engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure safe and compliant processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate HAZOP studies, document findings, and manage corrective actions.
• Review engineering and operational changes as part of the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Prepare Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in Hebrew and conduct hazardous material assessments.
• Provide expert consulting on process safety, hazardous reactions, and occupational hygiene.
• Analyze P&IDs, equipment specifications, and hazardous‑area classifications to identify risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field (mandatory).
• HAZOP Leader/Facilitator certification (mandatory).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or operations within the chemical/pharmaceutical industry.
• At least 2 years of experience leading HAZOP studies.
• Fluent Hebrew and strong English reading/writing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in HAZOP methodology and process risk management.
• Expertise in Process Safety, hazardous materials handling, and SDS preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, instrumentation specifications, and safety documentation.
• Experience with real‑time online documentation systems for report generation and recommendation tracking.
• Strong analytical and computer skills for data analysis and decision‑making.
