Operations Finance Controller

About the role

D-Fend Solutions is seeking an Operations Finance Controller to oversee inventory valuation, cost integrity, and financial controls across its cutting‑edge counter‑drone business. The role bridges finance and operations, ensuring accurate reporting and robust financial governance.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and continuously improve inventory policy, valuation methods, capitalization rules, and purchasing policies.
• Calculate, forecast, and manage inventory reserves for excess, obsolete, and slow‑moving stock.
• Review safety‑stock, min/max, and reorder parameters to assess financial risk and cash‑flow impact.
• Validate standard costs, BOMs, routings, and own periodic cost roll‑ups, challenging unexplained cost movements.
• Lead budgeting and monitoring of production yields, analyzing variances and managing related financial forecasts.
• Conduct cycle‑count and physical‑inventory programs, drive Inventory Record Accuracy, and reconcile discrepancies with ERP and financial records.
• Perform financial‑operational reviews across procurement, production, warehouse, and shipping, ensuring policy compliance.
• Maintain balance‑sheet accuracy through rigorous accounting reconciliations of inventory, reserves, and liabilities.
