Network Automation Engineer

About the role

Cato Networks is seeking an experienced Automation QA Engineer to lead end‑to‑end testing of new features on its fast‑evolving cloud‑native security platform. You will build complex physical and virtual network topologies, simulate enterprise customer environments, and act as the gatekeeper for feature releases.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute manual and automated performance tests for core network infrastructure and edge devices.
• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks that support continuous integration.
• Analyze and debug complex network failures using logs, diagnostic tools, and automation scripts.
• Lead validation efforts for new projects, defining test coverage and automation strategy from early design stages.
• Deploy physical and virtual network topologies to enable automated end‑to‑end testing.

Required profile

• CCNA certification with solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS and routing protocols.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux networking and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years developing test automation in Python using object‑oriented principles.
• Proven ability to debug multi‑component systems and work in a fast‑paced environment.
