Mobile Security Officer – Area Office Jerusalem

About the role

The Mobile Security Officer will support the Chief Area Office in implementing security risk management processes and overseeing guard forces at the Jerusalem Area Office. The role involves ensuring security compliance, managing access control, and responding to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing security risk management processes, security plans, contingency and evacuation plans.
• Manage security access control procedures, systems and equipment, and conduct periodic security assessments.
• Provide security briefings, training and day‑to‑day operational support for the guard force.
• Advise on acquisition and inventory control of security equipment and respond to security incidents.
• Maintain relationships with local police, fire and medical authorities and monitor the local security situation.

Required profile

• First university degree in security and risk management, political/social science, criminal justice, international relations, business management or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in emergency settings or security, preferably in humanitarian or corporate environments.
• Valid driving licence and residence in West Bank or Jerusalem with appropriate ID.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
• Practical knowledge of security access control systems and procedures.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract for 1 year (with 1‑year probation) and possibility of extension.
• Monthly basic salary USD 1,259.40 (paid in JD at UN exchange rate).
• Provident fund contribution (15.4% of basic salary), compulsory medical insurance, 30 days annual leave, sick leave, maternity and paternity leave.
