Medical Strategy Lead – Oncology Clinical Development

About the role

The Medical Strategy Lead for the Hematology‑Oncology Centre of Excellence will provide strategic medical and scientific expertise to support IQVIA’s oncology initiatives. Reporting to the Centre of Excellence Head, the role involves early customer engagement, proposal development, and acting as a subject‑matter expert throughout the clinical development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Offer scientific and clinical guidance on protocol design, clinical development plans, and mechanism‑of‑action insights for investigational products.
• Analyze data to address key clinical questions, assess feasibility, and inform target site and investigator selection.
• Stay current with the latest hematology and oncology literature and competitive landscape.
• Participate in client meetings, bid‑defense sessions, post‑award transitions, and governance discussions.
• Coach project teams to align execution strategies with medical considerations.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Operations, Commercial Consulting, Real‑World Services, and other medical strategy leads.
• Serve as an internal and external consultant throughout research, development, and clinical trial phases.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) with oncology specialization; hematology training or solid‑tumor experience is a plus.
• Minimum of five to seven years of relevant experience in clinical development or medical strategy.
• Proven ability to work independently under supervision and to influence cross‑functional teams.
