Material Planner

About the role

We are seeking a Material Planner to own end‑to‑end material planning in a fast‑paced defense‑industry environment. The role ensures that customer orders are translated into reliable material availability, supporting seamless supply‑chain operations across multiple functions.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for material planning from order receipt through to inventory availability.
• Make buy/make decisions based on capacity, capability and cost considerations.
• Analyze Long Lead Items (LLI) and drive mitigation actions to shorten lead times.
• Plan and analyse procurement needs, run MRP, and issue purchasing requirements.
• Track material flow from purchase requisition to warehouse receipt.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, parallel planning, quality, warehousing and procurement teams.
• Monitor operational, logistical and project KPIs such as on‑time delivery and inventory turns, and adjust system parameters to meet delivery commitments.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Management, Economics, Logistics or a related engineering degree.
• Minimum 2 years of supply‑chain experience in the defense industry.
• High proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Strong English communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and interfaces simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive, curiosity‑driven attitude.
