Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This full‑time position requires vigilance, quick decision‑making, and a professional demeanor.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and control access to rooms.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and contact emergency services as needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and daily loss‑prevention summaries.
• Escort unwelcome persons and report vehicle accidents or thefts.
• Maintain confidentiality of all security reports and property information.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or run for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb unaided.
• Clear communication skills and professional appearance.
• Willingness to follow company policies, safety training, and confidentiality standards.
• Capability to read and verify information in various formats.
