Legal Counsel – Employment Law (Maternity Cover)

About the role

SodaStream, part of PepsiCo, seeks an experienced Legal Counsel specialized in Employment Law to cover a maternity leave period. This fixed‑term role runs from November 2026 to June 2027 and reports to the Legal Director, Global Employment & Litigation. The position is split between the headquarters in Kfar Saba and the manufacturing site near Lehavim, requiring regular on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, contracts, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Advise HR and business leaders on Israeli employment legislation to ensure compliance while supporting business goals.
• Guide employee hearing and grievance processes, ensuring adherence to legal standards.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain employment‑related agreements such as separation, confidentiality, consulting, and service provider contracts.
• Manage employment disputes, litigation, and pre‑litigation matters.
• Lead employment law training for HR, managers, and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate legal aspects of occupational health, safety, and tort claims, liaising with authorities, insurers, and external advisors.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney in Israel with at least 5 years of experience as a Legal Counsel focusing on employment law.
• Background in a leading law firm, boutique practice, global corporation, or a mix of private practice and in‑house roles.
• Strong knowledge of Israeli labor and employment legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to support recruitment, compensation, and diverse employment models.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in both Hebrew and English.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities independently and deliver practical, business‑focused advice.

Required skills

• Licensed to practice law in Israel.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English.
