Lab Manager – Lead Lab Operations & Infrastructure

About the role

Astera Labs is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Lab Manager to own day‑to‑day lab operations, maintenance, and expansion. You will ensure the lab environment supports roadmap projects and provides reliable infrastructure for validation and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage all lab facilities, including space planning, power, cooling, networking, safety, and equipment placement.
• Build and expand new lab spaces to meet current and future roadmap requirements.
• Set up, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment and hardware testing environments.
• Manage servers, networking gear, test instruments, power supplies, cooling systems, and environmental chambers.
• Identify equipment needs, drive procurement, evaluate vendors, and coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory, track equipment lifecycle, calibration, and end‑of‑life status.
• Provide timely, hands‑on support to validation and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Highly organized, hands‑on individual with experience managing lab facilities and infrastructure.
• Proven ability to coordinate procurement, work with vendors, and maintain high lab availability.
• Strong attention to safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
