Junior Software Engineer – Backend & API Development

About the role

GO-OUT is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join its fast‑moving engineering team. You will start contributing to production systems from day one, writing backend services, APIs, and internal tools while receiving guidance and code reviews from senior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features for backend services and public APIs.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and production incidents, including root‑cause analysis.
• Build and maintain internal tools and automations that improve team efficiency.
• Integrate third‑party services and APIs.
• Write and maintain automated tests for all code you produce.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, QA engineers, and senior developers.

Required profile

• Early‑career professional who already writes production‑ready code and learns quickly.
• Curious about why solutions work, not just that they work.
• Receptive to feedback and able to follow through on commitments.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude) as part of the daily workflow.

Required skills

• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Node.js backend development
• RESTful API design
• Git version control
• Basic database knowledge (MongoDB or SQL)
• Practical use of AI coding tools (Claude or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) – strong advantage
• Experience with React, Next.js or React Native – strong advantage
