HW Board Design Engineer

About the role

Ceragon is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to join its System & Platform R&D group. You will lead the design of high‑speed digital boards for communication and networking systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and seamless integration with software, FPGA, mechanical and RF components.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑speed digital boards (SerDes, DDR, Ethernet) and own schematic development.
• Oversee PCB layout and guarantee robust SI/PI performance through analysis and review.
• Lead board bring‑up, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization in the lab.
• Collaborate with software, FPGA, mechanical, and RF teams for system integration.
• Present technical insights, design updates, and project risks to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on hardware design experience.
• Strong background in high‑speed digital design, signal integrity, and board‑level architecture.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cadence Capture & Allegro.
• Solid lab experience: debugging, measurements, and board bring‑up.
• Experience designing Ethernet‑based communication hardware.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI practices and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in clocking and synchronization circuits (PLL, clock trees, jitter analysis, SyncE).
