HPE Networking Presales Systems Engineer

About the role

HPE is looking for a customer-facing Presales Systems Engineer to support its growing HPE Networking business in Israel. The role is hybrid, with the expectation of working mainly from an HPE office and visiting customer sites about two days per week. You will partner with sales teams, channel partners and customers to design, position and demonstrate networking solutions across the HPE Networking portfolio, including Aruba and Juniper Networks.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account managers and channel partners to identify customer needs and align technical solutions to business outcomes.
• Support opportunities across Israel as a trusted advisor and deliver presentations, workshops, demos and discovery conversations in Hebrew and English.
• Design end-to-end networking solutions for campus, branch, data center, wireless, switching, NAC, security, routing and cloud-managed networking, including architectures, bills of materials and proposals.
• Support proof-of-concept projects and respond to technical parts of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
• Articulate HPE Networking differentiation against competitors and help grow pipeline through expansion, upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with customers, IT teams and decision-makers, and support partner enablement and training.

Required profile

• Experience in a presales, systems engineering, network consulting or customer-facing technical role.
• Strong background in networking infrastructure and ability to translate technical capabilities into business value.
• Experience delivering customer presentations, demos and solution recommendations.
• Fluency in Hebrew and English, with comfort working remotely and traveling on site within the territory.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or IT, and experience with Aruba and/or Juniper technologies.
• The role requires security clearance.

Required skills

• Preferred: hands-on routing protocols (IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, PIM) and MPLS traffic engineering (RSVP-TE, SR-TE, L3VPN, EVPN, VPLS).
• Preferred: familiarity with wireless LAN, campus switching, data center switching, routing, NAC, security, AI-driven operations and cloud-based network management.
• Preferred: experience with channel partners and indirect sales models.
