FP&A Economist – Budget Management & Financial Planning

About the role

Amarel is seeking an FP&A Economist to join its professional team. You will be responsible for budget management, financial planning, feasibility analysis, and supporting strategic decisions across defence, industrial, energy and technology projects.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage annual and multi‑year budgets.
• Monitor budget performance, including revenues, expenses and workforce costs.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
• Develop reports, dashboards and control tools for analysis and decision‑making.
• Lead the economic and financial aspects of bids and business proposals, including pricing analysis and cost evaluation.
• Support business unit managers with financial analysis and budget planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to align financial objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in budget control, financial analysis, FP&A or project pricing.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working with AI tools, BI tools and building dashboards.
