Engineering Director - Core Product

About the role

HoneyBook is seeking an Engineering Director to lead its Core Product engineering group in Tel Aviv. You will oversee a team of Engineering Managers and their engineers, driving delivery, quality, and impact for one of the company’s most critical product areas while embedding AI capabilities into the user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a group of five Engineering Managers who each manage multiple engineering teams.
• Develop managers’ leadership, decision‑making, and team‑health skills.
• Ensure clarity, alignment, and focus across teams working on shared product goals and cross‑team initiatives.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Go‑to‑Market leaders to shape roadmap, priorities, and execution plans.
• Translate company and product strategy into clear engineering direction and measurable outcomes.
• Improve cross‑domain collaboration by refining planning processes and communication.
• Play a key role in hiring, org design, and scaling the engineering organization in Tel Aviv.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large engineering organizations and managing multiple managers.
• Strong product partnership skills and ability to work closely with cross‑functional leaders.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality products at scale.
• Experience embedding AI capabilities into core product experiences.
• Excellent communication, alignment, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
