Director, Worldwide Risk & Resilience – Security Governance

About the role

Amazon's Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) organization is looking for a senior leader to define and execute a global Information Lifecycle Threat Evaluation and Risk Assessment (ILTERA) strategy. The role will transform threat assessment from reactive reporting to predictive, decision‑grade insights that protect people, assets, and the supply chain across more than 50 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Define the strategic vision and multi‑year roadmap for the ILTERA program, aligning resources and success metrics with enterprise risk priorities.
• Establish and govern Priority ILTERA Requirements with senior stakeholders, translating critical information needs into structured collection strategies.
• Build, develop, and lead a globally distributed team of analysts and security professionals, setting performance standards and talent development plans.
• Drive convergence analysis across physical, cyber, and geopolitical threat vectors to identify blended threats.
• Assess and communicate threats such as targeted violence, terrorism, organized crime, theft, and fraud, providing actionable intelligence to loss prevention, investigations, and security operations.
• Design scalable risk‑quantification frameworks that translate assessments into business‑impact language for executive decision‑making.
• Own the crisis threat assessment capability for high‑impact events, delivering real‑time evaluations for crisis management.
• Manage the end‑to‑end ILTERA cycle: direction, collection (OSINT, field reporting, GEOINT, commercial data), analysis, dissemination, and feedback.

Required profile

• 12+ years of progressive experience in security intelligence, threat assessment, or government intelligence.
• 7+ years of direct people management experience, including 3+ years leading geographically distributed teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in National Security, Political Science, International Relations, Intelligence Studies, Security Management, or a related field.
