Director of Technology & Architecture

About the role

NiCE is seeking a senior technology leader to own the architectural vision across its product portfolio. The Director of Technology & Architecture will guide the design of secure, scalable, and cost‑effective solutions that run on‑premise, in private clouds, public clouds, or as SaaS.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a multi‑year target architecture for all products, balancing autonomy with shared platform leverage.
• Drive platform and shared‑service strategy (identity, data, integration, observability, deployment tooling) to reduce fragmentation.
• Translate business and product strategy into technical roadmaps and advise on build‑vs‑buy, modernization, and major technology bets.
• Design abstractions that enable reliable operation across heterogeneous environments, including tenancy, configuration, release cadence, and feature parity.
• Embed security, privacy, and regulatory compliance into architecture, covering data protection, auditability, encryption, and regional residency.
• Set non‑functional requirements and guardrails for availability, disaster recovery, performance, and observability for mission‑critical financial systems.
• Establish and run an architecture governance function, including standards, decision records, review processes, and technology radar.

Required profile

• Proven senior technical leadership experience in large‑scale, multi‑product environments.
• Deep expertise in designing cloud‑native, on‑premise, and hybrid architectures.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and resilience requirements for financial services.
• Ability to influence executive teams and act as the final authority on architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
