Deputy VP of Construction – Data Centers

About the role

The Deputy Vice President of Construction will act as the right‑hand to the VP of Construction, overseeing the full lifecycle of data‑center projects from initiation through commissioning and handover. This senior, cross‑functional role ensures coordinated management of a complex construction portfolio while meeting safety, quality, budget and schedule objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the VP of Construction in managing the project portfolio and developing multi‑project work plans, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, set objectives, monitor performance and resolve obstacles to ensure consistent working methods.
• Conduct cross‑functional status meetings, consolidate integrated project status overviews and escalate decisions to senior management.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, critical paths and interface dependencies across multiple projects.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, commitments, changes, claims and commercial risks in collaboration with Finance and Procurement.
• Ensure coordination between design, procurement, execution, testing, commissioning, handover and transition to operations.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience managing complex, systems‑intensive construction projects, including at least 3 years leading Project Managers or in a senior cross‑functional role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related engineering field.
• High proficiency in Hebrew and English for professional discussions and international supplier coordination.

Required skills

• Broad engineering understanding of electromechanical systems, including high/low voltage, generators, UPS, HVAC, control systems, fire detection and suppression, structures and infrastructure.
• Strong capability to manage and control budgets, schedules, critical paths, risks, changes and contracts.
• Ability to read and analyze plans, specifications, bills of quantities, contracts and engineering reports.
