Data Scientist Team Leader

About the role

ONE datAI is seeking an experienced Data Scientist Team Leader to head its data science practice. The role blends hands‑on model development with people management, delivering high‑impact machine‑learning solutions for clients across finance, healthcare, retail, transportation and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a team of data scientists, overseeing technical quality and professional development.
• Plan and prioritize work across multiple client projects, ensuring timely delivery.
• Design, build and validate supervised and unsupervised machine‑learning models that address concrete business problems.
• Translate business questions into well‑defined data‑science tasks, perform exploratory analysis, feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Collaborate with data engineers to move models from notebooks to production, monitor performance and manage retraining cycles.
• Document modeling decisions, assumptions and results, and communicate outcomes to client stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data‑science teams and delivering end‑to‑end ML projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to turn business challenges into data‑driven solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration.
