Data Science Team Lead

About the role

Riskified is looking for a Data Science Team Lead to drive the development and productionisation of advanced analytical solutions that power real‑time fraud and risk decisions for leading ecommerce brands. You will own the vision and execution of machine‑learning capabilities that impact thousands of transactions per second.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 3‑5 data scientists, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Partner with product, engineering and analytics teams to integrate models into the core product pipeline.
• Define and execute the analytical roadmap for Riskified’s core offerings.
• Design and run complex experiments to continuously improve model performance.
• Oversee training, validation and deployment of strategic machine‑learning models.
• Standardise processes, documentation and best practices across the data‑science group.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience leading data‑science teams or projects.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce risk, fraud detection and real‑time decision systems.
• Proven ability to translate business objectives into scalable analytical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to align cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• Machine Learning model development and production deployment.
• Experience with classification models, natural language processing (NLP), anomaly detection, graph‑theory techniques and deep learning.
• Ability to work with large, heterogeneous data sets and ensure production‑grade quality.
