Data Engineer

About the role

TAIRC is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that support training and analytical activities. The position is currently offered on a volunteer basis, with the possibility of future paid employment pending funding approval.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex data sets for training and analytics.
• Identify and implement process improvements for data ingestion, processing, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain ETL (extract, transform, load) infrastructure for both structured and unstructured data.
• Create analytical tools and use statistical methods to interpret data for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve data‑related technical issues and ensure data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with data warehousing, databases, and big‑data technologies.
