Data Center Operations Director

About the role

Microsoft is seeking a Data Center Operations Director to lead world‑class support services across a metro region. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, secure, and environmentally responsible data‑center operations while driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Empower a culture of safety, security and compliance throughout data‑center operations.
• Lead, coach and develop full‑time Microsoft employees across all data‑centers in the assigned metro.
• Oversee IT and critical environment (mechanical and electrical) support for all service lines, ensuring on‑time, defect‑free delivery of capacity within SLA commitments.
• Plan and deliver physical infrastructure, logistics and resources required to meet anticipated growth.
• Actively participate in incident management and resolution processes.

Required profile

• Strong business acumen and financial management capability.
• Excellent interpersonal awareness and mature communication skills.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results.
• Demonstrated leadership and program‑management experience in large‑scale operations.
• Experience managing data‑center or similar critical‑environment operations.
