Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Motorola Solutions Israel is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to operate, integrate and lead security solutions across the organization. The role involves hands-on work in tech-rich environments, end-to-end ownership of enterprise-grade security solutions and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. It is a full-time, long-term position in the Beer Sheva area.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, tune and optimize cybersecurity solutions on-premises and in enterprise environments (firewalls, WAF, PAM/PIM, NAC, endpoint security, database security)
• Define SIEM/XDR rules, analytics and detection logic, and drive remediation plans based on penetration testing findings and risk assessments
• Manage day-to-day interfaces with security vendors, lead Tier-3 troubleshooting and handle complex integrations
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and advanced escalation support to internal SOC and NOC teams
• Research, evaluate (POCs) and implement new security tools and industry methodologies

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on experience operating and deploying at least two of: firewalls, WAF, PAM/PIM, NAC, endpoint security, database security
• B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering, or a background in a military technology unit, or equivalent industry experience
• Mandatory formal cybersecurity certification
• Willingness to undergo a Level 2 security clearance process
• High self-learning ability, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team-player mindset

Required skills

• Nice to have: active Level 2 security clearance
• Nice to have: hands-on experience with Fortinet, Symantec or Imperva solutions
• Nice to have: deep knowledge of SIEM rule writing, analytics and playbook creation
• Nice to have: recognized certifications such as CISSP or CISM, or official vendor certifications
• Nice to have: experience in high-security, heavily compliant environments
