About the role

Join FedEx’s Customs Clearance team as a Clearance Broker, responsible for ensuring shipments meet all regulatory requirements. You will review shipment data, create accurate clearance declarations, and act as a liaison between customers and government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Review shipment data to determine customer and regulatory requirements.
• Create legally compliant clearance declarations using in‑house systems.
• Contact customers or authorities to clarify information when needed.
• Resolve routine customs disputes and address customer inquiries.
• Build effective relationships with customers to recommend suitable clearance services.
• Operate within tight time frames in a busy office environment.

Required profile

• Strong team‑working skills and experience contributing to performance in a busy office.
• Knowledge of import/export processes, customs regulations, and CHIEF entries.
• Customer‑focused communication with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to make sound numerical decisions under tight deadlines.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general PC skills.
