Controller – Alternative Investments & Funds

About the role

The organization seeks a Controller to manage the financial reporting and accounting for a portfolio of companies and alternative investment funds. This hands‑on position offers exposure to private credit, real estate, infrastructure and other investment strategies, making it ideal for a CPA eager to deepen expertise in alternative investments.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of financial activities for a portfolio of companies and investment funds.
• Prepare and file financial and regulatory reports for the funds.
• Oversee accounting processes across multiple entities within the group.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Execute monthly controls, reconciliations and analytical reviews.
• Support tax‑related reporting and coordinate with tax authorities.
• Collaborate with fund managers, trustees, external auditors and tax authorities.
• Participate in cross‑functional finance projects and work with senior finance professionals.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – required.
• Completed an internship at a Big 4 accounting firm – mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of post‑internship experience in a financial services organization or large corporation.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting capabilities.
• Proficient English with solid verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with international tax matters – an advantage.
