Chief Architect

About the role

Optibus is seeking an exceptional Chief Architect to lead its application infrastructure and DevOps practice. You will define the architecture for the entire AWS cloud account and guide cross‑group technical initiatives, while staying hands‑on on complex, multidisciplinary challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the application infrastructure team and the DevOps practice.
• Define and own the architecture for Optibus’ AWS cloud environment.
• Head the Architect Guild and drive AI enablement and transformation efforts.
• Act as a technical consultant, providing a holistic view of the technology stack.
• Collaborate with R&D leads and engineers to enforce engineering best practices and excellence.

Required profile

• 12+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• 7+ years in technical leadership or management (architect, team lead, or tech lead).
• System‑wide knowledge of building and scaling SaaS products.
• Proven proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical design.
• Production‑grade SaaS experience and deep expertise in AWS cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
