AI Engineering Team Manager

About the role

Parallel Wireless is seeking an experienced AI Engineering Team Manager to lead its AI R&D team. You will drive the development, integration, and productization of AI capabilities across the Open RAN portfolio, delivering measurable impact on network performance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical direction, roadmap, and execution of the AI team.
• Lead AI/ML initiatives from concept and prototyping through production deployment and continuous optimization.
• Establish success metrics and ensure AI solutions generate clear product and business value.
• Make architectural decisions on AI models, platforms, tools, and data pipelines.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of AI/ML, software, and domain engineers.
• Implement engineering best practices for evaluation, scalability, reliability, monitoring, and model lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Systems Engineering, and R&D teams across Israel, India, and the US.
• Partner with RAN experts to identify AI opportunities and support customer‑facing trials and PoCs.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams with responsibility for hiring, performance management, and delivery.
• 8+ years of experience in software, systems, or AI/ML engineering.
• Proven track record delivering ML or LLM‑based solutions into production with measurable impact.
• Strong understanding of modern AI technologies, including LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, AI agents, and MLOps/LLMOps.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
