Technical Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Technical Support Engineer to join PlainID’s Professional Services team. In this role you will diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve customer issues while working in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of customer‑reported issues, prioritize them by urgency and importance, and drive them to resolution.
• Research, diagnose, and troubleshoot system problems, providing clear solutions.
• Coordinate case resolution with internal teams such as Sales, Professional Services and Product.
• Follow standard escalation procedures for critical or unresolved issues.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in Technical Support, Tier 2 Support, Technical Services or a similar customer‑facing technical role.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker or other containerised environments.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to investigate complex technical problems independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Kubernetes and Docker (container orchestration).
• REST APIs, HTTP, JSON.
• Linux operating systems and application log analysis.
• Networking concepts including DNS, ports, certificates, proxies and load balancers.
• Relational databases and SQL.
