System Linux Administrator

About the role

We are a dynamic global organization looking for a highly skilled Linux Administrator to manage and optimise enterprise Linux environments. The role combines traditional system administration with DevOps, SecOps and cloud‑native responsibilities, supporting our worldwide operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain RHEL, Ubuntu and Oracle Linux servers and workstations.
• Configure, deploy and upgrade Linux systems, ensuring performance, reliability and security.
• Implement security and compliance policies, applying CIS Benchmarks and hardening techniques.
• Provide Linux support for container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes, enabling CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python or other scripting languages.
• Apply Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices and manage CI/CD workflows.
• Use configuration‑management tools (Puppet, Ansible) for provisioning and software deployment.
• Integrate Linux systems with networking and identity solutions like Active Directory and LDAP.
• Collaborate with SecOps to monitor and improve system security.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience administering RHEL, Ubuntu and Oracle Linux.
• RHCSA certification (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or equivalent.
• Strong scripting abilities (Bash, Python or similar).
• Experience with configuration‑management tools such as Puppet or Ansible.
• Knowledge of integrating Linux with Active Directory, LDAP or similar identity services.
• Solid understanding of Linux security hardening and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with virtualization technologies in large‑scale environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
