System Administrator (Central Israel)

About the role

Mertens MalamTeam is seeking an experienced System Administrator to join a leading defense organization in Central Israel. The role involves supporting diverse projects and infrastructures while collaborating with customers, engineers, and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end IT solutions for projects, covering infrastructure, environments, and endpoint products.
• Upgrade, deploy, integrate, maintain, and monitor systems across local and remote sites.
• Operate and manage information security systems.
• Build and manage isolated, virtual, and physical environments using VMware and Microsoft technologies, delivering customer‑focused technical support.
• Lead IT projects and processes across varied technology environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on IT experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure (Active Directory, DHCP, GPO, DNS).
• Experience with Windows operating systems and Windows Server.
• Experience supporting endpoints such as laptops, workstations, tablets, and customer products.
• Willingness to travel abroad.

Required skills

• PowerShell scripting.
• Bash scripting.
• VMware vSphere (version 7 or higher) installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Familiarity with Dell, HPE, and SuperMicro server hardware.
