Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to lead the quality domain for its cutting‑edge suppliers within the Engineering department. The role is based in Rehovot, Israel and focuses on ensuring manufacturability and high product quality across complex modules developed by R&D.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support investigation and assessment of supplier non‑conformances from initiation to effective resolution.
• Analyze quality trends, gather intelligence and advise management on remedial actions.
• Represent Engineering in Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, performing technical assessments, risk evaluations and disposition recommendations.
• Monitor and report non‑conformances related to production lines, coordinating activities with R&D and suppliers.
• Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in product quality, first‑pass yield (FPY), statistical process control (SPC) and 8‑D problem‑solving.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to determine underlying issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
• Ability to lead investigations and work closely with R&D, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Strong analytical mindset for quality trend analysis and risk evaluation.
