Software Engineer III – Database Migration & Cloud

About the role

Google’s software engineers develop next‑generation technologies that serve billions of users worldwide. This role focuses on database migration and cloud solutions, contributing to large‑scale systems that power Google Cloud services. You will work on critical projects, collaborating across teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance software.

Key responsibilities

• Write product or system development code.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to evaluate technology options.
• Review code from other developers and provide feedback on style, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
• Contribute to documentation and educational content, updating it based on product changes and user feedback.
• Triage system issues, debug, track, and resolve problems affecting hardware, network, or service quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or related fields (preferred).
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms (preferred).
• Experience developing accessible technologies (preferred).
